Many design and drafting applications are especially suited to 2D CAD drawings. Some of them include the following:

• Factory Floor Plans
• Schematic Drawings
• Legacy Drawing Changes

Sometimes, when deciding whether to utilize 2D CAD for a particular project, client preference is the deciding factor. This is especially so if the client utilizes 2D CAD in-house and wants to maintain the project files in that format.
